Today we spend hours every day on our phones and computers, often in a rounded, forward head posture (FHP). Over time, this position increases the load on the cervical spine and the surrounding muscles, tendons and joints. That extra stress may raise the risk of neck pain, wear-and-tear changes and even disc problems.
A forward head posture can also contribute to compression of nerves and blood vessels in the neck. This may interfere with optimal blood flow and drainage from the head, which has been linked to symptoms like brain fog, reduced concentration and overall fatigue. In the long run, irritated or compressed nerves in the neck can influence how the whole body feels and functions.
In short: a “small” daily habit can quietly turn into a big problem for your health and performance.
